Resurrection Easter Egg from Bethlehem the Holy Land

We, at Bethlehem Bible Artists, are pleased to present for the very first time, the Resurrection Olive Wood hollow Easter Egg. The egg has been for centuries a symbol of new life and a most fitting reminder of Christ's Resurrection

The olive tree is connected to our Christian faith as Jesus prayed under an olive tree on his way to Jerusalem before his crucifixion on the cross. The cross was made of olive wood taken from the olive trees near the garden of Gethsemane in Jerusalem.

Jesus Christ was arrested on The Mount of Olives that fateful night, and He ascended into Heaven from there after His Resurrection from the tomb. The greatest event of all history will occur on The Mount Of Olives.

The Nativity Stone Cross

An altar was erected over the birth place  at the Nativity Church, and a fourteen-pointed silver star was embedded in the white marble to mark the birth place of Jesus. 14 generations in all from Abraham to David, 14 from David to the exile to Babylon, and 14 from the exile to the Christ. This Nativity cross has the 14 point stars as the alter inside the Nativity Church. The Nativity Stone cross features at the center  A rare and precious stone from the  the Nativity Church of Bethlehem the Mother of all Churches where Jesus was born.

Attached to the cross, are the spear, which pierced the side and heart of Christ, and the nail , which pierced His hands and feet

Frankincense

 Frankincense was the very first of all Christmas presents, birthday presents to the little Prince of Peace. They were offered in a spirit of wondering humility and love by the Magi thousands of years ago.

Frankincense is a resin, from a kind of tree held so sacred.

Trinity in Oil, Soil and Water

The Holy Water of the Jordan River were Jesus and his disciples were  Baptized.

Anointing Olive Oil from Bethlehem olive trees. Olive oil was used to anoint Jesus after he was taken from the cross and laid on a Jerusalem rock before burial.

The soil of Bethlehem is the soil of Jesus city of birth and the cradle of peace.

The Crown of Thorns

And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!" (Matthew 27: 29)

2000 years ago thorn bushes grew abundantly in the Holy Land -- today they still do but they are getting rare due to the high demand for them and from what is left this crown of thorns was made. It is symbolic of Christ' suffering and humiliation.

Jerusalem Tear

This Jerusalem stone tear is hand carved from Mt. Calvary where Jesus was crucified. The Tear represent Christ's hours of dark sorrow, from His arrest in the garden to his agonizing death on the cross Mt. Calvary , friends and followers abandoned Him with tears this tear also represent the tears that Jesus himself shed in Jerusalem and for Jerusalem.

At the triumphal entry, Jesus "saw the city and wept over it" (Luke 19:41). 

This stone is the same color as the Holy City of Jerusalem. By seeing the stone you are able to be a witness to the beautiful nature of the city of the crucifixion and the resurrection.
