Authentic Realistic Crown of Thorns from The Holy Land

2000 years ago thorn bushes grew abundantly in the Holy Land -- today they still do but they are getting rare due to the high demand for them and from what is left this crown of thorns was made. It is symbolic of Christ' suffering and humiliation.   Size: Approximately 7''- 8'' And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!" (Matthew 27: 29)

His Holiness Pope John Paul II was excited by the Crown of Thorns gift from the Holy Land. His interest and that of others can be clearly seen on the pictures. He praised especially the uniqueness and the usage of the original crown of thorns bushes. Unfortunately there was not more time available to further discuss the Crown of Thorns and its meaning for Christianity. We are very happy that it was possible to present our Crown of Thorns to His Holiness Pope John Paul II and feel assured by his positive response. My God Bless Him and protect him. Amen
